The name of the room denotes its destination when it was originally constructed in 1782 by Simonetti. It was to house the group of the Muses and Apollo found in 1774 in a villa just to the south-east of Tivoli.
The drawing was glued on a cardboard, originally numbered 5M.9, and kept in a portfolio. Title from note on the original cardboard. Forms part of: Library Collection. Drawings.
