Neumelans Castle in Campo Tures was a deposit of works of art looted by the Germans. J.B. Ward-Perkins, Captain Deane Keller and Lieutenant Frederik Hartt first visited the deposit on 14 and 15 May 1945. The works of art were moved back to Florence on 21 July 1945.
